Le quartier de Gowanus à Brooklyn est un peu un No Man's Land entre les quartiers résidentiels et familiaux de Park Slope et de Boerum Hill. Ici, c'est plutôt ambiance entrepôts et friches industrielles et j'avoue que j'aime beaucoup ces décors urbains un peu froids. Si c'est votre trip aussi, je vous conseille d'aller y faire un tour sans trop trainer car il y a fort à parier que le quartier devrait pas tarder à changer. Un Whole Food a déjà prévu de s'y installer très prochainement.
Pour finir votre balade en beauté, j'ai bien évidemment un endroit pour manger à vous conseiller! Les amateurs de poissons, fruits de mer et crustacés vont être comblés chez Littleneck! Réchauffez vous avec une Clam Chowder et testez le Clam Roll ou le Lobster Roll. Les moules au lait de coco et basilic thai ou les clams à la bière vous laisseront aussi un très bon souvenir surtout si vous les accompagnez de frites maison. Et l'ambiance est cool, l'endroit ouvert récemment par une bande de 4 copains ne désemplit pas malgré sa situation un peu reculée! Un gage de qualité selon moi!

RépondreSupprimerOui c'est pas loin, un peu plus à l'est de Red Hook, de l'autre coté du canal. Il y a une salle de concert (The Bell House) qui organise des soirées 90's qui sont apparemment très sympa! Faudra tester!
